G-Fuel Unveils Pooh-Themed Drink Inspired by 2001's Edgiest Video Game Characters

No other video game series has been as caustic as Conker's, and somehow G-Fuel has dragged his corpse from the grave to create a drink themed around it.

Not only that, but the energy drink brand is themed after one of the strangest characters in Conker's Bad Fur Day, Mighty Pooh. Yes, G Fuel is literally selling a drink themed around a piece of shit from a game that is over 20 years old. No, this is not a Nathan For You (opens in new tab) toe-curling skit. This is something that actually exists. Thankfully, the drink itself doesn't taste like excrement - unless you really hate G-Fuel - but rather a "tropical corn soda" flavor. I honestly don't know if this flavor tastes good or not; I get what G-Fuel is trying to do, but I hate it.

This is definitely one of the strangest energy drink collaborations the brand has done, and I still have no idea why "Conker's Bad Fur Day" was chosen over literally any other. But with all due respect to G-Fuel, the design of the can is pretty awesome, and longtime Conquer fans will be pleased. This limited edition flavor also comes with a limited edition Mighty Pooh Yootooth figure. For some reason, his teeth are pearly white instead of corn, but other than that, it's a very neat figure. Anyway, it looks just as neat as a pile of plastic crap.

You can now join the waiting list (opens in new tab) for the $60 collector's box. I'm almost tempted to buy it just to find out what the Tropical Corn Soda gamer drink tastes like. Almost. Not sure if I can make sense of why it's corn-flavored, though.
