Epic Games Store has launched its annual holiday sale (opens in new tab): one with lots of discounted games, the other with lots of free games.

In addition to discounts of up to 75% on a variety of games, Epic's holiday sale will also feature its annual Epic coupon (opens in new tab), offering an additional 25% off any single or combined purchase of $14.99 (or your local equivalent) or more. As usual, this coupon will be automatically replenished: just like Tom Hanks' magic coin in the awful 1982 D&D movie (opens in new tab).

While we respect Epic's price-cutting efforts, the big draw here is the daily free games. Today's gift game is Horizon Chase Turbo (opens in a new tab), "a tribute to classic arcade racers," which is free until 11 a.m. on December 17, after which another game will take its place.

So what are the deals in this sale?

Remember that these are prices before coupons are applied. Still, to get the best possible price, be sure to shop before you click the button: GOG is having its own Winter Sale (opens in a new tab) (with free games), and a Steam Winter Sale is also happening next week.
