poncle, developer of Vampire Survivors (opens in new tab), has announced the game's first real DLC. The expansion, which will be released later this month, will add entirely new stages, new characters, new monsters, and more than a dozen new weapons to ham them up.

The Steam page for Legacy of the Moonspell is vague but appropriately ominous:

"In the east, a clan has perished. The Moonspell clan, guardians of a magical valley surrounded by mountains, has been overrun by a horde of specters and demons. Though dangerous, this lair of specters may provide a clue to the vampires' whereabouts. If not, at least it will be fun to defeat thousands of wayward spirits."

Fortunately, some concrete information has been provided. Legacy of the Moonspell will add eight new characters:

and 13 new weapons: [The new stage, Mount Moonspell, is the largest in Vampire Survivors history, with a variety of environments including an abandoned castle, snowy mountains, and a village roamed by ghosts. The "Hidden Mysteries" are of course a must for any Vampire Survivors fan. Of course, there is also the implication of seeking out "hidden mysteries," and for those who like that sort of thing, this DLC adds six new songs to the game.

Vampire Survivors Vampire Survivors itself is currently on sale on Steam (open in new tab), which seems a bit pointless since the regular price is $5, but until December 12 it is available for 20% off at $4.
