PlayStation's excellent roguelike "Returnal" comes to PC

Last year, Returnal appeared in an Nvidia database leak (opens in new tab). In the summer, it appeared in Steam's database (opens in new tab) and screenshots of its configuration were leaked online. It was only a matter of time, but we had to wait a long time. Now it's finally official: the PlayStation 5-exclusive roguelike shooter is coming to PC.

Sony announced Returnal's PC port at tonight's Game Awards with a short trailer, with host Sydnee Goodman adding that it will be available in early 2023.

Returnal is a third-person shooter in the vein of a bullet-hell shooter, with enemies firing large, glowing spheres of bullets at you in a predetermined pattern. I always thought that the game was better suited to a mouse and keyboard than a controller, but it seems that in a few more months I will find out if I was right.

Sony added a few details and screenshots about the PC port on the PlayStation Blog (opens in a new tab) and announced that "...... including the relentless challenge of Sisyphus' Tower and an online co-op mode. The bells and whistles are there."
