More announcements to follow at The Game Awards 2022. Naughty Dog has finally revealed the release date for The Last of Us Part 1 for PC: March 3, 2023.

The Last of Us Part 1, for those confused by its title, is a full remake of the 2013 original; a remastered version was also released in 2014, but this time it is much more epic. The release of Part 1 is also the first time the "Last of Us" series has appeared on PC, but hopefully not the last.

I played The Last of Us Part 1 on PS5 when it was released in December and was strongly impressed; I remember the original looking much better back in 2013, but the side-by-side comparison (open in new tab) speaks for itself.

For those who have never played "The Last of Us," this game is a real treat. Counting Sony's growing interest in releasing PlayStation games on PC, "The Last of Us Part 1" is the title with the shortest release interval between PS5 and PC (only 6 months between the two).

This is not the only PlayStation game for PC that is getting attention at the Game Awards.
