Steam Sale of Turn Based Games Ends Soon

To coincide with the five-day #TurnBasedFest (opens in new tab), a celebration of turn-based games, Steam is currently offering a sale on self-paced RPG and strategy games (opens in new tab). The sale ends on December 12, so you'll have to decide quickly whether or not to buy (though some games have longer discount periods, so check Steam's individual pages).

Now 75% off (opens in a new tab) the dark side RPG "Tyranny" (US$7.49 / £5.94 / $AU10.73). Excellent cyberpunk fantasy RPGs Shadowrun Dragonfall (opens in new tab) (US$3.74 / £2.74 / $AU5.37) and Shadowrun Hong Kong (opens in new tab) (US$4.99 / £3.74 / $AU7 .23) are also 75% off. The post-apocalyptic indie Atom RPG (opens in new tab) (US$7.49 / £5.49 / $10.75) and its extended sequel Atom RPG: Trudograd (opens in new tab) (US$5.49 / £4.99 / $8.99) are 50%.

On the strategy side, Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector (open in new tab) ($US23.99 / £18.59 / $AU34.17) and Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters (open in new tab ) ($US26.99 / £20.99 / $AU38.97) are on sale for 40% off, a great deal for a recent 40K game. For a less grim and darker game, the Fire Emblem-esque Symphony of War: Nephilim Saga (opens in a new tab) ($US13.99 / £10.84 / $AU20.26) is 30% off and ends December 16. A few other turn-based bargains currently on offer:

Although not part of the same sale, Divinity: 2017 Game of the Year winner "Divinity: Original Sin 2" (opens in a new tab) is 65% until December 23 off ($15.74 / £10.49 / $22.73), and now the squad tactics masterpiece "XCOM 2" (opens in new tab) is 90% off ($5.99 / £3.49 / $8.99).
