It would come as no surprise that the nudity mod for "Spider-Man Remastered" set to work removing the superhero's underwear from "Marvel's Midnight Suns" as soon as the wall-crawling Spider-Man appeared on PC. the "XCOM" game. Mods are traditionally pretty over-the-top, but Firaxis' latest mod is nothing but horny stuff; the ModDB entry (open in new tab) is still empty, and NexusMods (open in new tab) still has no page.

But the eternally thirsty modders on the LoversLab forum (opens in new tab) wasted no time, and within a day of release they found nude meshes in the game files, added nipples, and made the first nude mod (opens in new tab) (first for Magik, before adding Captain Marvel, Nico, and Hunter (opens in new tab)). A more tasteful half-nude mod (opens in new tab) soon followed for those who simply wanted to be top-naked while the Midnight Sands ladies relaxed in the monastery. A male Midnight Sands mod in trunks has yet to appear despite requests (opens in new tab), but it won't be long.

It is always fascinating to see determined modders pull off such feats; in the case of Midnight Suns, which was created with Unreal Engine 4.26, we first used UModel to extract the assets so they could be modified. File encryption prevents this, but the encryption keys for Unreal Engine games are readily available online (opens in a new tab).

These assets can then be imported and edited in other software, such as the open source 3D graphics toolset Blender (opens in new tab). The solution was to "set the object's scale to 0.01 and also rename both the object and armature to 'armature' so that Blender would not add extra bones in the root." Modder ingenuity, whether it serves a horny audience or not, is always impressive, and in 2021, Luke Winkie set out to meet the modders who were determined to add nudity to the most unlikely of games.
