Destiny 2 and "Assassin's Creed" to have a lame crossover

Bungie and Ubisoft have announced a crossover between Destiny 2 and Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. Players of the latter will be able to purchase Destiny 2 character packs starting December 6, which include armor sets, swords, scout skins, mount skins, and a Warlock from 9th century England.

On the Destiny 2 side, the crossover is tied to the start of the new season on December 6, where players will get an Assassin's Creed-themed ship, Sparrow, Ghost, and Finisher cosmetics, three armor ornament sets Bungie amusingly notes that these "allow for plenty of mysterious hooded adventurer-esque fantasy" and technically count as a stealth game, even if "no one snitches on the Templars" anymore.

Nice blurb, even if the costumes themselves aren't that Brotherhood-ish, and what will be of concern to Destiny 2 players (well, as far as I can tell) is that this will expand the range of fashion. The new season (the 19th if you count it) also includes the usual weapon tweaks, balancing of hunter/void abilities in PvP, new artifact mods, and a warning message for those still playing in stadia.

Assassin's Creed: Meanwhile, "Valhalla" is ending its excellent post-launch support and will receive an update that adds an epilogue "final chapter" and more. Perhaps the most notable aspect of the announcement is that the developers have decided against implementing one of the most requested features by fans of the title, the new game+ mode, and have been quite frank about the reasons for their decision. Basically, he stated that the game had limited options for making replayability unique and challenging, and was never designed with that in mind.

"We understand that this news is disappointing. However, we hope that the new content released in the past few months, including never-before-seen experiences like The Forgotten Saga, have provided an exciting and rewarding experience for those seeking more replayable content."
