Warzone 2's Most Terrifying Weapon Is a Flying Bomb, and It's OK

The most deadly weapon in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 may not be a gun; the bomb drones that are rarely picked up on Warzone 2 maps are quiet, can spot their targets through walls, and blast with enough force to reduce an entire team with full strength to rubble in seconds! Reddit and other social media outlets are littered with videos of players frenziedly watching the bomb (open in new tab) drone (open in new tab) take down their enemies.

"I've played WZ1 for almost 1k hours and I can tell you there is nothing more [overpowered] than a bomb drone," one player posted on Reddit (opens in new tab): ...... Another player responded that the weapon's weakness is that "80% of the time it will glitch and freeze in place."

An audible warning is given when a drone is deployed nearby, but the sound of flight is easily missed in combat. The bomb drone itself is actually a fairly rare floor loot, but with 150 players running around in a Warzone 2 match, statistical chance will catch some people out. As one player put it, "Almost every match, I die from bomb drones."

Of course, another drawback is that the blast radius of the drone is so large that players find themselves falling along with their targets; a video by Andreas-Vamsti posted on Reddit (opens in new tab) shows him falling on the edge of a gas ring and narrowly missing victory He almost missed the victory.

The scarcity of built-in bomb drones does not stop players from being inventive. With an ordinary drone and a C4, you can become a weaponsmith yourself.

Anyway, everything is fun in the world of Call of Duty. The outrageous things you can do are the best part of this huge multiplayer game. Some days you bomb drones, some days you get bombed.

If you are not familiar with the horrors of the modern battlefield, this is not a "Call of Duty"-ism. These types of bomb drones are real and are currently being used by armies in many countries, but most of the time they don't look like Call of Duty. Sorry.
