General
There is information on the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 Black Friday Gaming PCs.

No matter how many times you search the Black Friday graphics card deals (opens in new tab) list, you won't find the Nvidia RTX 4090 (opens in new tab) suddenly discounted. You'll be lucky to find one in stock and priced like the original MSRP.

But surprisingly, Black Friday Gaming PCs (opens in new tab) with RTX 40 series graphics cards built in are selling at actual discounted prices. Of course, as GPU pricing goes, these systems are in the ~$3,000 range, but at least you're getting the latest Ada Lovelace graphics cards for close to "regular" MSRP.

The top iBuyPower system is actually cheaper than some RTX 4090 cards on sale at Newegg. These prices are ridiculous, and I have no sympathy for anyone paying even $2,000 for a GPU. Still, even at an MSRP of $1,600, they are already about half the price of a full build.

It also comes with arguably the best gaming CPU on the market today, the Intel Core i9 13900K (open in new tab), and a free upgrade to 32GB of DDR5-6000. However, we are not 100% sure how "free" the upgrade is, but you still get a lot of very fast memory.

However, the problem I have with this rig is the SSD. A 2TB PCIe drive of any kind provides a healthy chunk of fast storage, but the Samsung 970 EVO is an older drive now, and you might want a PCIe 4.0 SSD for that kind of money. But if that's a compromise you have to make, well, this will do.

A word about lead times, however: the iBuyPower machines have an estimated ship date of December 15 as of this writing, but stipulate that another week will be added due to high demand for the new GPUs. Also, these GPUs are shipped uninstalled, so you will need to connect them yourself.

In my opinion, this is actually the preferred option. These are huge chunks of silicon and aluminum heatsinks, and we don't want them to come off in transit and break other parts of the new rig. These are huge chunks of silicon and aluminum heat sinks, and we don't want them coming off during transport and breaking other parts of the new rig.

If that's still too rich for your blood, there is an RTX 4080-based option: the Nvidia RTX 4080 (opens in new tab), which at its list price is hard to recommend as a worthwhile card on its own, but the RTX 3090-based systems, which are much less expensive than machines and can easily win in the gaming frame rate race.

CyberPowerPC is currently offering the Gamer Infinity XLC for $500 off. This is only a few hundred dollars less than the iBuyPower system with the RTX 4090; if you can afford to pay an extra $200 or so, we recommend that.

If a $3,000 budget is tight (lucky you anyway), this beautiful looking system will suffice. There are no weaknesses, and the delivery date is December 12. However, CyberPowerPC guarantees delivery at least "before Christmas or earlier."
