Blow Your Black Friday Gaming Laptop Budget with the World's Fastest Mobile GPUs

Nvidia will probably announce its new RTX 40 series mobile graphics chips in January (opens in new tab). But it will likely be at least a month or two after that before you can buy an actual laptop with that GPU. Until then, here's something to tide you over: the MSI Vector GP66, powered by Nvidia's GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, is the fastest mobile graphics chip on the planet.

At $1,999 all in, it's a relative bargain. It's a considerable amount of money, to be sure, but it's cheap compared to many non-Ti RTX-equipped laptops. What's more, the 15.6-inch Vector GP66 is loaded with even more performance-enhancing goodies.

Front and center is a 15.6-inch, 1440p IPS display running at 165Hz refresh. Next, CPU power comes from an Intel Core i9 12900H chip with six performance cores and eight efficiency cores, plus a maximum clock speed of 5 GHz. This is a monster mobile processor.

To this can be added 32GB of RAM and a 1TB M.2 SSD. Other features include dual M.2 slots, HDMI 2.1 output, and a 720p webcam. Connectivity includes three USB-A ports, USB-C, mini DisplayPort, and WiFi 6E.

As for battery life, we don't expect much from the 65 Whr lithium pack. However, it should last 3 or 4 hours for light use. However, this is a true desktop replacement rig, not something slim and light that you would keep in your bag on the go.

In short, the point of the MSI Vector GP66 is to hit frames at blazing speeds. You'd be hard-pressed to find a faster mobile form factor with the fastest mobile GPU for under $2,000.
