My favorite wired mouse is on sale.

General
My favorite wired mouse is on sale.

We have always recommended Razer's Deathadder mice in various forms, and for good reason: the Deathadder series fits my hand so naturally that when my previous Deathadder Elite had a persistent problem with static electricity causing normal clicks to be perceived as double clicks (temporarily solved by blowing under the left mouse button like an old Nintendo cartridge), I bought another mouse instead. When I ran into a persistent problem with my previous Deathadder Elite where it would recognize a normal click as a double click due to static electricity (temporarily solved by blowing under the left mouse button like an old Nintendo cartridge), I bought another mouse instead.

In the Black Friday Gaming Mouse Deals (opens in new tab), the Deathadder V2 is available at near-record-low prices on Amazon in both the US (opens in new tab) and the UK (opens in new tab).

Note that we are specifically referring to V2 here, not V2 Pro (which is also on sale). This is a hotly contested opinion, according to many at PC Gamer. But it's also correct. [Let me explain why:

To summarize the team's wireless fans, the counterargument is that "cables suck." It's aesthetics. It's vanity; Deathadder's cloth sleeves are flexible enough that you don't feel them during use, but rigid enough that they don't get in the way. Deathadder's cloth sleeve is flexible enough that the mouse doesn't feel it during use, yet rigid enough that it doesn't get in the way.

One warning about Razer's peripherals: they are good, but the company's proprietary RGB software - Synapse - is functional at best, an absolute nightmare at worst. On the plus side, the Deathadder V2 syncs nicely with my Huntsman V2 keyboard, and the preset RGB profiles used in some games are a neat touch. On the other hand, I bought a Razer Firefly V2 mouse mat on the spur of the moment on Black Friday last year and plugged it into Synapse.... . my PC broke. The taskbar froze on startup and became unusable until I used Ctrl+Alt+Del to log out of my Windows profile and log back in. It happened so often and with no apparent solution that I ended up removing the mat from the PC. Currently, the mat is left unlit.

Summary: So far, yes to a comfortable wired mouse that does not have the same quality issues as the older model. No need for a wireless mouse or unnecessary RGB software.
