Fanatical's Black Friday Sale Includes Free Games and Historically Low Prices

The Black Friday sales have begun, and digital retailer Fanatical (opens in new tab) is discounting a number of PC games. In addition to the discounts, Fanatical is giving away a free game: the 2019 multiplayer kart racer Garfield Kart: Furious Racing.

Right now, the sequel to "Garfield Kart" is sitting at an 89% favorable user rating on Steam (open in new tab), but is that because it's genuinely better than one would expect from a "Garfield"-themed racing game, or is it because "Cult Classic" tag, we don't know if the Steam users who also added the "Classic" tag are simply trolls. I was also skeptical about "Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed," which turned out to be the best in the genre. Meanwhile, for games that actually cost money to buy, Fanatical has some of the cheapest games on sale that we've seen so far: The Forgotten City, a time-travel adventure based on a Skyrim mod (opens in a new tab open in a new tab) has a Digital Collector's Edition with collector's DLC and soundtrack for $17.30, a 45% discount; P.T. Barnum's deck builder "Amazing American Circus" (open in a new tab) with DLC and "Symphony in the "Ringmasters Edition" is available for $8.09, a 73% discount. Fanatical's Black Friday sale (opens in new tab) includes a "Spin to Win Offer" where you can spin a prize wheel with a purchase of $10 or more, and one of the prizes is a Steam deck worth $700. The sale will end on Wednesday, November 30 at 4 p.m. Japan time.
