Sitting down to work is getting old: ...... You might think so, but there's a good reason why standing desks are becoming a more common part of PC setups! At the very least, working standing has been proven to be good for your health and posture. Some people even work on treadmills. It's great.

Interestingly, I'm currently using a Secretlab Magnus and am quite happy with it as a desk. Since it's not the standing type we're talking about here, I'm jealous of anyone who might be able to get one this Black Friday; Secretlab is offering the Magnus Pro or Pro XL and the magnetic desk mat Magpad at Black Friday prices.

When ordered in the U.S., the desk mats can customize the look of your desk with a fairly high-end finish; the savings vary a bit depending on the type of mat you order, such as Signature Secretlab-branded mats, esports or gaming edition mats.

The regular Magnus goes from $878 to $848, while the XL goes from $1,038 to $998. Secret Labs' review of the Magnus Pro XL (opens in new tab) calls it "the ultimate desk for gaming and working from home."

However, if, like me, you have a lot of physical attachments to your desk, such as Elgato lights and camera stands, attaching them to the Magnus can be a bit tricky. In fact, I once had to attach an Elgato ring light to something other than my desk because its dimensions didn't fit. Even if the monitor arm doesn't fit the Magnus, you still have the option of purchasing accessories to fit your desk.

If you are looking for a more affordable desk, Best Buy has at least a couple of good options: the first is the Insignia Standing Desk with Electronic Controls, which is a great option for those who are looking for a more affordable desk. Normally $429.99, this desk is currently available for $299.99 (opens in new tab), a savings of $130. Although this is a Best Buy-branded desk, reviews on the site seem unanimously in favor of this desk, with some very recent reviews saying that it is easy to set up and adjustable to accommodate different heights when shared with others.

Best Buy also carries the Arozzi Arena Ultrawide Curved Gaming Desk. Normally $499.99, it is on sale for $259.99 (opens in new tab), nearly half price in the Black Friday sale. With the help of a friend, family member, or even an enemy, you should be able to get this desk into your home and set it up. If, like me, you love having gaming gear on your desk, this is a great addition to your setup.

One caveat: I recommend that the desk be placed on a rug or carpet. Placing it on something a little softer seems to make the desk more stable. If you are taking advantage of this discount, you may want to purchase something that Alozzi can sit on.
