Laptops make the world go round: at least, they are much more integral to my PC life than they used to be. I got my first laptop in the early 2000s, and while it was fine for writing and doing internet stuff, the idea of a gaming laptop didn't exist like it does now.

If I were to buy a Black Friday gaming laptop (opens in new tab), my personal choice would always be some configuration of the Razer Blade, simply because it's the machine I use. PCG's hardware team is working hard to ensure that the latest model, the Razer Blade 15, which they believe is the best gaming laptop available today (opens in new tab).

The Blade line packs massive power into a slim and (for Razer) surprisingly tasteful chassis, and its performance is truly spectacular.

The downside to the Razer Blade is, of course, the price. Even with a significant discount like this one, this machine may be worth it, but it is absolutely pricey. If you want a laptop with the best gaming performance, you will have to spend a good deal, but there are cheaper alternatives with comparable specs.

Another option is the Asus G14, one of the only laptops that threatened my love for the Razer Blade. This configuration is even less expensive than both of the above options, and the AMD RX 6800S card is roughly equivalent to the RTX 3070.
