General
The $200 Anda seat is the cheapest gaming chair I can recommend right now.

There are cheaper gaming chairs out there, but none that we've actually tested, reviewed, or recommended; the Anda Seat Jungle 2 has a fairly wide profile, offers a lot of support, isn't really ugly, and is a real plus for a modern gaming chair.

In a review of the Anda Seat Jungle 2 (opens in new tab), reviewer Junae Benne says: "It's for people who want good posture and a simple chair that's not too fancy.

There is much to like about the Jungle 2. It features a rather plush design with two cushions, one for the back and one for the head. The majority of the chair is covered in PVC leather (DuraExtra AD leather), but the sides of the backrest and part of the footrest are covered in a velvet-like material. Underneath, high-density foam is laid over a steel frame.

When it comes to footrests, Genet's main complaint was the Jungle's "flimsy footrests." The Jungle comes with a folding footrest, which can be used with the 160-degree recline. However, it is a bit cumbersome to fold it under the chair to keep it out of the way.

Basically, this footrest feels like an afterthought on a decent chair for the price.

If you can turn a blind eye to the footrest, or if you like the sound of a footrest, the Anda Seat offers a wide, supportive base that can support 200 lbs. Junae notes in her review that the base of the seat is a bit flatter for those with wider hips for those with wider hips, noting that a flatter base would be better. The second generation model has additional padding, which helps a great deal.

The armrests on this model are only 2D. It is not how they occupy physical space, but how they move. You can customize it a bit more by adjusting the height and sliding it back and forth and left and right with screws. It's very standard, but, well, it's a chair and it's not expensive.

In other words, this is not our favorite gaming chair, the Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 (open in new tab) (currently on sale (open in new tab)), but it is a solid gaming chair on a budget. Gaming chairs that are too cheap are not up to standards, and especially do not provide the support needed for actually decent sitting. The Anda seat is not perfect, but for $200 it has enough basic features.
