Set up your desktop with a Cyber Monday gaming laptop.

If you're looking for a gaming laptop this Cyber Monday weekend, you're in luck. Why choose between a gaming laptop and a monitor when you can get both in one deal, and this bundle from Amazon offers the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 and G27e-20 for just $729.98 (opens in new tab) and saves $350 on both. To put this into perspective, the laptop itself is currently priced at $688, so you're basically getting a 27" monitor for $42.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 laptop shown here is actually a 2022 model that boasts a GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card, AMD Ryzen 5 6600H, and 8GB of RAM. It may not be able to play your favorite games super-fast on ultra settings, but it's cheap and cheerful and gets the job done on medium settings; Lenovo has skimped a bit on storage with a 258GB SSD (though it's probably a 256GB drive), but the best external external SSD (opens in new tab) would be nothing that can't be solved with an external SSD (opens in new tab).

Also, replacing the drive with a new one and upgrading the memory is a very easy upgrade job; 8GB is pretty small, and the memory is a bit of a stretch, but it's not too big, so you'll need to do a little more work to get it up and running. Simply remove the screws on the back and pry it out.

Unfortunately, you can't update the RTX 3050 GPU, but as long as you are happy with tweaking the game's graphics settings, the 1080p gaming performance is adequate. Alternatively, you can use GeForce Experience on your laptop.

The Lenovo gaming monitor boasts a 27-inch panel with 1080p display, a 100Hz refresh rate (120Hz when overclocked), and a 1ms response time. Of course, you won't be getting into 4K gaming with this particular model, but as a second monitor or as an additional display for an attached laptop, you can't go far wrong.
