Expelled Valorant streamer banned from soccer broadcasts after misogynistic video resurfaces.

Sky Sports has quickly and quietly ended its recent collaboration with YouTuber IShowSpeed. The channel removed nearly all clips featuring the one-time Vallorant steamer from social media after clips of his misogynistic rants on his Twitch channel resurfaced online in April, The Athletic reports.

IShowSpeed-usually referred to as "Speed"-has millions of followers on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram and was hired to boost Sky Sports' Premier League coverage. Speed appeared in a clip on Sky Sports social media, reading team news alongside veteran sports reporter Jeff Shreves. A recording of the event remains on YouTube.

However, that appearance, along with almost all of his other appearances, has now been completely erased from Sky Sports' social media. At some point, Sky executives apparently became aware of a video of a streamer on Valorant (opens in new tab) in April of this year, in which the streamer was verbally abusive to a female player.

When that incident occurred, it was widely reported and Speed was eventually banned from all Riot games. He was also banned from Twitch for another misogynistic rant, and it is a mystery why it took Sky so long to notice this streamer's well-known past behavior.

PCG has reached out to IshowSpeed for comment.

At this point, the only clip (open in new tab) featuring Speed is all that remains on the Sky Sports Twitter account. The rest have been quietly deleted from the channel's platform, and The Athletic reported that Sky has chosen to completely sever ties with Speed in the future. The streamer is a teenage American who apparently stayed in the UK just to watch Cristiano Ronaldo play. Some might call this karma.
