General
Warzone 2 is experiencing a bug that causes players to die instantly.

Normally, if a player goes down in Call of Duty: Warzone 2, they can still crawl around until an ally revives them or they roll a natural 20 on their next death saving throw (please fact check before publishing) GamesRadar (opens in new tab) discovered Not everyone enjoys the period of rolling around the floor trying to get a teammate to help them out, as GamesRadar (opens in new tab) found.

"Does anyone know what causes instant death in Warzone 2 instead of falling down like normal?" tweeted ModernWarzone (opens in new tab)." So far there seems to be no rhyme or reason."

Developer Raven Software is already aware of the issue and flagged it as "under investigation" in an update to the studio's Trello board (opens in new tab) earlier today: "[All platforms] Skip down phase: skip down phase: Some players are dropping out in situations where they should be down." Currently there is no timeline as to when the fix will be implemented.

This is not the only problem Warzone 2 players are experiencing on launch day. Some have reported bugs with friends not being able to invite them to the game, being sent back to the main menu, and being locked out of the friends list. Still, even without friends, people are enjoying Warzone 2's new proximity chat feature.
