The colorful $49 PlayStation DualSense controller may be the best Black Friday early bird discount.

Amazon's Black Friday sale is offering the best controller for PC gaming at a shocking price. That's right, the Sony DualSense wireless controller is on sale for $49 (opens in new tab). This is the cheapest this controller has ever been. This sale also includes all DualSense colors.

These controllers rarely go on sale, and when they do, they are only $10 off at most, and most are dull white versions. If you've been playing "God of War" and your current controller has gone bad and you want to replace it, now is the best price. It won't be any cheaper during Black Friday, but save the link in case your favorite retailer does some price matching. The DualSense has a built-in speaker, microphone, and touchpad for menu control. But the big draw of this Bluetooth controller is its adaptive trigger haptic feed.

Even if you don't need a new controller, it makes a great gift for PS5 gamers. Who would turn down a new purple controller for their Christmas Scrooge?

The only problem with the DualSense is that its battery life is a wild card, especially for a PS5 launch-era controller. Sony claims that a single charge will provide 6 to 12 hours of use, but in my experience with my controllers, that wasn't always the case. The good news is that the new controllers seem to last longer on a charge.

But suppose you're into customization and don't mind opening up your piggy bank. In that case, Sony will release a rival to the Xbox Elite controller, the flashy Dualsense Edge (opens in new tab), in January for a whopping $200.
