This Dungeons & Dragons variant D20 is a loafy good.

General
This Dungeons & Dragons variant D20 is a loafy good.

The new Dungeons & Dragons movie will be released in March 2023, and Hasbro has begun cranking up the wheel-o-march for this venerable series, a set of D20s that transform into D&D monsters. Dice varieties include the White Owl Bear (great), the Red and Black Dragons (which are nice), and the awesome One-Eyed Beholder (easily the best).

Now, you can really make a transformation roll. But there is a caveat: this is a toy, and the description clearly states, "Do not use this D20 for tabletop games." You may not be able to tell from the picture, but the numbers are embossed on the plastic. It may be hard to tell from the picture, but the numbers are embossed on the plastic.

Look at the owlbear unfolded. Dragons are neat, but they don't stand a chance in front of Owlbear and his cheeky beholder.

Oddly enough, given that this is Hasbro, this is not a Transformers collaboration or crossover. Optimus Prime was clearly too busy with this ridiculously high-end collaboration that produced a self-transforming toy that costs only £730.

Dicelings, sadly, will not begin shipping until March 1 of next year to tie in with Honor Among Thieves (which was recently delayed by four weeks, but will still be released in March 2023), and even PC Gamer's Andy Chalk has been "a little too busy with the excited about what he calls the "Owlbear renaissance," but admits that "it doesn't look bad.

In other words, someone is going to get one. As far as movie merchandise goes, I have to admit, this is the best I've ever seen.
