"Voting is now open for our most coveted award, the Ultimate Game of the Year, and it is worth noting that indie games have not lost their seats. More than a quarter of the Ultimate Game of the Year nominees were created by small teams, from the ingenious first-person puzzle platformer Neon White to the hilarious sandbox with destructible voxels, Teardown.

"The Golden Joystick Awards are the people's game awards, and they are highly coveted because they are voted for by the people who really matter: game fans. It's amazing how each vote can make a huge difference, and in previous years the winners have been chosen by a margin of 20 or 30 votes.
