Messi and two other superstars join "Modern Warfare 2".

Lionel Messi, known as the soldier of fortune who occasionally leaves the battlefield to play soccer, will appear in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. This is because it is part of the Modern Warfare FC event and adds something called the CODBall to the game.

Messi is one of three soccer players being added to the game this month through a limited-time bundle: Neymar Jr. will debut on November 21, Paul Pogba on November 25, and Lionel Messi on November 29.

Presumably Neymar Jr. will fall to the ground after taking 1 hp of damage.

CODBall may have a bit of a naming war with Activision Blizzard's Cape Cod baseball league, but the publisher has yet to elaborate on what this temporary mode will involve. However, the publisher has yet to elaborate on what this temporary mode will entail. Alongside this, there will also be a mini-game called Support Your Team Pick'em. One wonders if it has something to do with the impending World Cup, but Activision Blizzard makes no mention of it.

As you can see, there's a lot going on in modern Call of Duty, and Modern Warfare 2 is, at the very least, the best in years. According to our review, this is "not the latest Call of Duty title, but the latest Infinity Ward title. And no one does 'Call of Duty' better than Infinity Ward." [Modern Warfare 2 was the fastest-selling game in the series' history. 'Call of Duty' is a phenomenon on an almost unimaginable scale. Sure, it would be silly to add a soccer player, but the game's reach makes such a thing inevitable, and last year they added the infamous mercenary Snoop Dogg to "Warzone."
