Get 6 months of GeForce Now Priority Access for only $30.

Nvidia is offering six months of "priority" access to its cloud gaming service, GeForce Now, for $29.99 (opens in new tab), $20 off the regular price of $49.99, for a limited time. GeForce Now gives members access to a virtual gaming PC, allowing them to stream games from their existing Steam, Ubisoft, and Epic libraries to almost any computer or mobile device as long as it is connected to a relatively fast Internet connection Cloud streaming is available. Priority's monthly plan is still $9.99, so the two-year plan is definitely more affordable. There doesn't appear to be a way to purchase multiple memberships and take advantage of the stacked discounted pricing. But if you do find a way, please send me a message. The biggest difference between Priority and the free membership is the quality and length of the cloud gaming sessions. Priority allows streaming at up to 1080p and 60fps, and RTX features such as ray tracing. In contrast, free members are limited to one-hour gaming sessions and must re-log in every 60 minutes or wait in a virtual queue if the servers are busy. GeForce Now is great for those who want to play PC games but don't have the hardware to get the performance they want on their personally owned gaming rig. I'm a big fan of playing Fortnite in my browser at my desk during lunch. Don't tell my boss. More importantly, this will get me a fast pass to the premium servers and 6 hours of uninterrupted gameplay.

Geforce Now's RTX 3080 tier remains the same, with an annual plan for $99 and a monthly plan for $19.99. This membership gives you access to a virtual RTX 3080-powered gaming PC. If you have a high-end TV or a high-end gaming monitor, we found that this tier can stream games up to 4K at 120fps and works quite well when using the Nvidia Shield. Optimal gameplay requires a fairly decent Internet connection of at least 15 Mbps at 720p at 60fps and at least 25 Mbps at 1080p at 60fps; Nvidia also recommends that latency in competitive games be less than 40 ms from the data center. You can use this handy guide (opens in a new tab) to see if your home or work network is up to the task. Unlike Xbox Pass (opens in a new tab), which gives you access to a fairly large game library, GeForce Now requires you to own the games you want to stream on a variety of platforms. the GeForce Now app is available on Samsung's QLED Smart TV's 2022 lineup (opens in new tab).
