Persona 3 Portable" coming to Steam and Game Pass in January 2023.

The PC version of Persona 3 Portable (opens in new tab) will be released on Steam and Game Pass early next year, on January 19, 2023. This is the same time that "Persona 4 Golden" (opens in new tab) will be released on Game Pass, but the very well-received (opens in new tab) PC port of the surprise will be released on Steam in 2020.

In addition to Steam and Game Pass, two much-loved Persona titles are also coming to the Microsoft Store.

The ports of Persona 5 Royal and Persona 3 Portable to the PC caused quite a stir around the PC Gamer office earlier this year at festivals other than E3. I think our own Mollie Taylor used the phrase "shut up everyone" and in the article announcing it she definitely said "I'm not screaming or crying, you guys are." (Opens in new tab)

Persona games are unique and interesting in that they emphasize time management and require you to plan how you spend your days and nights on an in-game calendar. Bonding with schoolmates and party members is often just as important as working out one's physicality, and all of this is preparation for diving into the strange and unsettling Mind Palace dungeon filled with id demons.

Meanwhile, "Persona 5 Royal" (opens in new tab) will shock Steam later this month, on October 21, with the power of a thousand animated suns, the juggernaut of the JRPG world.

The Persona titles are thematically related, but can be played in any order. However, avid Personaheads will probably tell you to play them in order of release. Or subscribe to Game Pass for a while.

Either way, you should be able to play for 400 hours.
