Elgato Stream Deck Lowest Price on Prime Early Access

The Stream Deck is discounted during the Amazon Prime Day sale (opens in new tab). This kit is instantly recognizable to many content creators, especially streamers, as the quintessential creator's PC setup.

I have previously written that casual and small streamers need not feel they must own a Stream Deck (opens in new tab) to be a streamer. It is often worth buying a quality microphone, headset, and camera first. However, if a significant portion of the Stream Deck's price has been reduced, I can support the idea of buying it while it's still a good deal. Depending on whether you're in the UK or the US, you can get it for as low as £89.99 (opens in new tab) or $89.99 (opens in new tab).

The stream deck on sale is the original 15-key deck (black). There are smaller and larger ones available, but 15 keys are sufficient for my streaming needs.

These keys are programmable LCDs that can be connected to streaming software or other Elgato products like ring lights or key lights. These keys can open software, take clips, or display advertisements. This is an easy and tangible way to control certain aspects of the stream and the usual setup.

As far as I can tell, there is no major advantage to buying the newer Mk.2 over the original, except that the Classic's base is a bit flimsy and the Mk.2 looks a bit nicer. However, in the two years I've owned the Classic, I've never been too annoyed by the occasional backslide.

Even if you are not a content creator, the Stream Deck is a pretty handy item to have on your desk if you always open the same software, pause and play music, or need more hot keys in your life.
