Easily upgrade your gaming setup to under $190 with Amazon Prime Early Access

Amazon Prime Early Access (open in new tab), or Prime Day 2 as many have come to call it, has arrived with a great selection of PC gaming deals. As with any big sale event, I'm caught up in my FOMO. I used to think, "I'm not ready for a big upgrade yet," but I just did a couple of big upgrades this year, so I need to chill out. [Prime Early Access has proven to be a great opportunity for a cheap and easy upgrade for everyone.

If you're looking to save money on something nice, but not on a new gaming laptop or 4K monitor ...... If you're not sure, here are some of the best minor upgrades you can make to your gaming PC.

A nice refresh without having to remove the motherboard.

With the help of other deal wizards, we've handpicked a few lean upgrades. There's also a set of peripherals so you can be free of the omake mouse and crappy earbuds. Just because I'm still using wired earbuds from an iPhone I stole from a family member doesn't mean you have to. There are also several sets of RAM to take your system up a notch, and several SSDs to choose from, whether you want to stick with SATA or PCIe drives.

In addition, the Viewsonic Omni 1440p monitor is marked down from $239.99 to $189.99 (opens in a new tab). While a monitor upgrade doesn't feel cheap, I just recently made the jump from a 6-year-old 1080p monitor to a 1440p 144Hz one, and getting a nice new monitor for under $200 is a deal I'd jump at, myself.
