With Amazon's Basic Series now even cheaper, now is the time to invest in PC cables!

I recently took the plunge and purchased not one, not two, but four extra-long cables for my PC. I was in a bit of a pinch: I had to figure out a way to connect dual monitors to my PC while using a height-adjustable standing desk. If I raised the desk too high, I risked the ports on the graphics card and motherboard coming off the PC.

I ended up ordering two DisplayPort cables and two USB Type-B to Type-A cables from Amazon Basics. It wasn't a lot of money, but I could have saved a little more if I had waited a little longer. Most of Amazon's Basics cables are on Prime Early Access sale.

If you've been thinking about making your life a little easier with longer cables or want to revamp your entire PC setup, now is your chance: from DisplayPort and HDMI cables to optical connectors, you can save a dollar or two per purchase now. If you're like me and buy many of them in bulk, you'll have to pay more for them. Having said that, I don't want to spend too much on cables just the same.

Most of the above cables are currently at or near their lowest prices according to the price histories we have obtained; 2016 has been a good year for cheap cables for some reason.

That said, if you're working with tired cables or cables that only just barely reach (personal note: I hate cables that pull tight), this might be a good time to consider longer, newer options. Remember that these deals are for Prime members only and expire at midnight tonight.
