The sudden dissolution of Stadia (opens in new tab) (which, to be clear, won't actually happen until January) has left users and developers alike scrambling to cope, although Google is offering refunds for Stadia hardware and software purchases, which is definitely a good move, not much help for those who have games on Stadia and want to continue playing elsewhere.

Ubisoft (open in new tab), IO Interactive (open in new tab), Bungie (open in new tab), and Tequila Works (open in new tab) have all said they are considering other options for players on the platform, and Now CD Projekt has given us a way to migrate Cyberpunk 2077 savegames from Stadia to other platforms.

The first half of the process is basically an explanation of how to use Google Takeout (opens in new tab), a tool that allows you to export data in your Google account for backup and use with external services. It's pretty basic:
