This year, two new voting categories have been created to better reflect the changing gaming landscape: one for "Best Game Trailer" and the other for what Golden Joystick feels is a long overdue recognition of a unique element of modern PC gaming The other was the "Best Game Trailer" award, for which the Golden Joystick was recognized as a unique element of modern PC gaming. Although it was a year too late for Valheim to receive the award, it is intended to show affection for the many great games that now choose this development and release route.

The winners will be announced at an all-digital celebration on November 22, which will be broadcast on all streaming platforms.
