Get an AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT GPU for less than the price of an RTX 3050!

Update: Gigabyte's Eagle Radeon RX 6650 XT is now, shockingly, even cheaper at $265 (opens in new tab) with offer code "FTSBXAZ346" at Newegg. Unfortunately, however, the slightly faster OC version that was previously on sale is no longer available at its cheaper sale price.

Original Article Newegg has two Gigabyte AMD RX 6650 XT video cards for sale at bargain prices. Both are priced at $284 (opens in new tab), which is significantly lower than the launch price. Both GPUs are perfect for those who are looking for 1080p performance and don't have a lot of money to spend. More importantly, these AMD entry-level graphics cards are cheaper than Nvidia's cheap RTX 3050.

The Gigabyte Eagle Radeon RX 6650 XT (open in new tab) and Gaming OC Radeon RX 6650 XT (open in new tab) are 8GB, triple-fan GPUs that have seen several significant price drops in the last year, but this card is the cheapest to date.

The RX 6650 XT falls between Nvidia's RTX 3060 and 3060 Ti in terms of performance, so $284 is a perfect price for each GPU, especially if you are looking to build your own gaming PC (opens in new tab) with a board.

As mentioned earlier, the RX 6650 XT is an excellent 1080p gaming card, capable of triple-digit frame rates at medium to high graphics settings, assuming no ray tracing is used. It is also capable of gaming at 1440p if you are willing to make some compromises. However, since these are AMD GPUs, they take full advantage of FSR 2.0 (opens in new tab), which gives a slight performance boost in games like God of War (opens in new tab) and upcoming games like The Callisto Protocol (opens in new tab) (opens in a new tab).

The Gigabyte Gaming OC GPU is nearly identical to both cards, except that it has a slightly higher boost clock speed and cooling than the Eagle. Therefore, if you are looking for absolute cost performance, the OC is recommended.
