Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger Live Streams 10 Pushups to Kick Off Intel Innovation

Update: Apparently Pat also did a couple of burpees before his keynote.

Original text Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger did 10 live-streamed pushups as a warm-up for his keynote speech to kick off the Intel Innovation Event in San Jose. This was quite unexpected, but what one would expect from this show is information about Intel's Raptor Lake CPUs and possibly Arc GPUs. See what I did there?

Forget the push-ups. The event is being live streamed, so you'll miss it forever now; you can watch it on Intel's website (opens in a new tab) starting September 27 at 9 a.m. PDT.

The event promises several announcements that will appeal to PC gamers, and Gelsinger's keynote will likely be the first to do so: Intel's Executive Vice President of Client Computing Group and GM, Michelle Johnston Holthaus, has already appeared in the stream, promising new and "next generation leader products" for PCs.

Intel has already teased much about its next CPUs, but so far we have not heard the exact release dates or prices for these chips.

Nevertheless, besides gaming products, Intel has already made many references to AI at this event. Intel has already made many references to AI.

All we need now is for AMD's CEO, Dr. Lisa Su, to appear and deliver 11 live push-ups on the Radeon launch stream (open in new tab) this November. That is the true spirit of one-upmanship we crave to see from these guys.
