General
A new mode has been added to Terraria that literally turns the world upside down.

Once upon a time, Terraria was a game of digging. Starting with the weaklings on the surface, you mined your way to the planet's molten core, bringing back resources to build cooler, more elaborate tools and structures. It's still in "Terraria," a decade of updates later, with quests, elaborate boss battles, vast building tools, and unique "world seeds" that change the way worlds are randomly generated. Today's "Labor of Love" update adds a huge number of additions, but perhaps the coolest is the "Don't Dig Up" worldseed.

To quote directly from the patch notes:

"An idea first discussed during the release of Journey's End, Don't Dig Up literally turns the world of Terraria upside down! Players will begin their adventure in the depths of the underground world, where new plants will be introduced to provide initial resources.

"But as players move up to "The Up," the threat grows exponentially until they reach the surface, a truly terrifying and inhospitable place that will test the mettle of even the most seasoned Terrarians. Rethink everything you know. But do not dig around unless you are prepared for what comes next!

I mean that literally. The surface is like hell, filled with lava, just like the depths of Terraria. The enemies are not late-game monsters, just little slimes. They are little fiery slimes. You can only dig a little bit until you hit bedrock, so the only way to proceed is to go up. From the patch notes, it doesn't look very comfortable on the bedrock.

Creating an upside down world is easy. Just start a new world and type "Don't Dig Up" as the seed. You'll soon see that it worked.
