Computer chairs marketed to gamers are often a bit outlandish. Many are designed to look like racing cars, with contrasting colors. Even the all-black ones have some sort of hole in the headrest to indicate that they are for gaming, not work. for adults who are not always looking for the RGB4LYF aesthetic, purchasing a gaming computer chair, especially at the lower or mid-priced end of the spectrum, can be a bit It can be difficult. [But the Boulies Master Series Computer Chair is right up my alley. It's moderately priced and fits in my office. This headrest has no holes and comes in a number of office-friendly colors. I received the ash gray water repellent fabric model for review and it has a professional yet cozy look and feel. As an added bonus, the fabric made the chair one of the most comfortable chairs I've ever sat on in just my underwear. Despite this treatment, so far it has been stain and sweat resistant.

Considering the long hours of sitting, a little more padding on the underside would not hurt, but it still remains a very comfortable chair. The combination of a respectable-looking design and soft under-leg support makes this one of the best gaming chairs for zooming calls at home.

The back of the Boolies Master Series Computer Chair flares out toward the bottom and curves down to the waist, which is oddly comfortable, and combined with the adjustable lumbar support, creates a slightly enveloping feeling in the lower half of the body. The lumbar support can be adjusted with a rotary knob in the middle right side of the backrest, which, when turned, pushes the lower back of the chair forward to fit the small of the back.

However, adjusting the lumbar support is the most difficult mechanism to use on this chair. It is uncomfortable to reach up and twist, and it is difficult to discern the setting by feel. If your hands feel a bit nibbly when you reach straight up, forget about it, because that dial won't work. The amount that changes the overall feel of the chair is negligible, but if anything, it seems a bit much for my taste, so I often remove the lumbar right away. I would prefer a little more room in the chair. Maybe it will eventually, but even so, it is by no means uncomfortable today.

Larger people may find it a bit cramped, especially since the bottom cushion is not very wide. In my case it was not a problem, nor was there any trash in the trunk. At 170 cm tall, the top of my head sticks out a bit from the headrest, but it fits comfortably on the included pillow. The recommended maximum height and weight limits are 190 cm and 135 kg, respectively, but those who exceed those limits should exercise caution.

Nevertheless, stability is not a problem with regard to weight. Under the lower left seat is a mechanism that can be twisted to fix the rocking of the chair or to give it more room. Personally, I enjoy a chair that can rock back and forth while I am thinking. On the right side, there is a lever on the backrest that can be operated to tilt the backrest down. I actively tried to tilt the backrest down, but could not get it to work. I had a few scares in the process, though.

The master chair originally came with plastic armrests, which Boulez replaced. However, Boulez replaced the armrests. The new armrests are softer and much more comfortable as opposed to the hard plastic ones that are common. They have more options for positioning, and they actually use them effectively. I think these are the most comfortable armrests of any chair in this price range.

There are reminders here and there that this chair is on the cheaper side. Assembly was not difficult, but required some thinking on my part. Compared to other chairs, it makes a bit more noise when moving around. Not loud or alarming, but not as smooth a ride as more expensive seats.

My biggest complaint is the headrest pillows. It is very soft and plush and comfortable, but it is secured to the top of the chair with a rubber band. On mine, the band is always sewn on in such a way that it twists and will probably have to be untied and sewn back on.

Despite some minor complaints, the Boolies Master Gaming Chair is modest for a chair in this price range, yet fully functional. The soft, stain-resistant fabric gives it the most comfortable feel of the many options, while still maintaining a professional feel. The new soft, freely repositionable armrests add to this comfortable ambiance. Generally speaking, the customization dishes are all there, including stable movement and adjustable lumbar support. I'm still not sure about the latter, though. For me, it's more comfortable with it turned off, which may be a bit much for some people.

But for people who are after a good, comfortable, office aesthetic chair in a smaller size, the Boolies Master Series Computer Chair checks a lot of boxes.
