So has AMD: after years of struggling to match Intel's CPUs, AMD is now firmly on top, and after years of Intel dominance, more and more laptops are choosing AMD. 2021's Alienware m15 Ryzern Edition R5 is a classier, less alien design featuring AMD's latest technology: a Ryzen 5000H series CPU and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series GPU.

The m15 Ryzen Edition R5 features new "Legend 2.0" design updates, including a new finish, better stain resistance, and an overall less plastic-like feel. One of these new updates is called Dark Core, which "darkens the interior tint of the laptop to minimize distractions and allow you to focus on gaming."

The new m15 also offers a choice of either a 15.6-inch 1440p/240Hz or 1080p/360Hz panel. If budget is limited or battery life is important, there is a third option, a 1080p/165Hz display.

The Ryzen Edition R5 has an optional ultra-thin mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX switches developed by Alienware in collaboration with Cherry. As with past Alienware laptops, the R5 offers RGB lighting settings regardless of which keyboard is selected.

On paper, the m15 Ryzen Edition R5 sounds like a gaming laptop that could be one of the best gaming laptops of 2021, but it needs to be tested when review samples start circulating. other manufacturers like Asus have their own We are seeing some impressive AMD gaming notebooks being released, and it is a pretty exciting time for those looking to replace their aging systems. Hopefully, you'll be able to find inventory more easily than you can for graphics cards.

The Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition R5 will be available in the US on April 20, starting at $1,793.
