Two years after leaving Epic Games in 2012, "Gears of War" creator Cliff Brzezinski jumped back into the development business with the fast-paced arena shooter "LawBreakers." We liked it very much, with 84% of our reviews describing it as "an uncompromising game that makes no apologies for its high skill ceiling," but despite that and concerted efforts to save it, the game never caught on. in May 2018, Bleszinski found himself Boss Key Productions studio, and four months later LawBreakers went offline for good.

Unsurprisingly, Bleszinski took the game's failure so hard that he promised in capital letters to stop making games forever. Forever! But forever is a long time, and a few years later, in October 202, he admitted that he was beginning to feel the itch again. It was, apparently, an itch he decided to scratch.

"Well, in case you haven't noticed, I'm working on a new piece and you know every day that it's a pain not to talk about it," Blesinski tweeted. 'Deal with it. Love you.

Interestingly, he suggested a few hours later that "it may not necessarily be a video game." [but after this tweet, he indicated that he had already spoken with Vlambeer co-founder and industry consultant Rami Ismail about the project, suggesting at least some connection to video games.

However, "Gears of War" fans with faint hopes that Brzezinski would return to the series seem destined to be disappointed: when one follower asked if chainsaws would appear in the new project, he replied, "No."
