The producers of the quarantine zoom-call horror film "Host" are working on a new film, this time a "real-time live action game" called "Ghosts". You are the producer of a TV show about ghost hunters, operating camera footage of a haunted house in a van and choosing which footage to broadcast as your intrepid crew explores.

The crew is played by "Host" cast members Haley Bishop, Radina Dorandova, Gemma Moore, Caroline Ward, and Emma Louise Webb, and is written and directed by "Host" writer and producer Jed Shepard. Also of note: Creature design is by Trevor Henderson (creator of SirenHead, which has made the Internet buzz with multiple games and mods), and production will be handled by Jim Henson's Creature Shop.

The creature in question is the Long Lady, who is said to look into the windows of houses on certain streets in London during times of tragedy. It is said that looking directly into her face will kill you. It's like a cross between the Eight-Foot Lady (the ghost that inspired Resident Evil's Lady Dimitrescu) and the Slender Man.

The real-time element of the ghost is that you can only play at 10 p.m. in your local time zone, and if you stop playing, the game is over and everyone dies. The game seems to be unsuitable for those with small bladders or plans to go out, but the test card that appears if you try to play at any other time can apparently be circumvented: if you can get past the "test," you have access to an unlockable pre-watershed version, where you can breathe, save your progress.

In addition to controlling the camera, it tracks the heart rate monitors of the performers, keeps things exciting for the viewers, hosts call-in segments, and is chock full of information about what's really going on in the area to figure out what's going on documents and files must be examined.

Ghost is scheduled to be released on February 22, 2022.
