Still "Big Changes" in Act I of "Baldur's Gate 3

In a recent interview with Destructoid, Larian CEO Swen Vincke discussed the current status of Baldur's Gate 3 and its path to Early Access. Vincke said, "We know that the community is demanding more speed than we can provide. It takes time to implement, especially with a game as expansive as Baldur's Gate 3."

As Destructoid pointed out, even the parts of "Baldur's Gate 3" that are currently playable are subject to change. This doesn't stop players from interpreting things and deducing where the story is headed and what secret motives are at play from the party members' dialogue.

"It's interesting to see what people write about them and make up their opinions," Vinke said. So really, it's cool to see. But it also tells you, oh yeah, they totally see this person that way.

Vincke also discussed why the druid is the latest class to be added to "Baldur's Gate 3" ahead of the more popular choices, explaining that it was chosen because it is difficult to implement. The druid was one of the most difficult classes to implement," he said. Because what you can do with Wild Shape is quite extensive."

As for which class will be chosen next, it may be one of the more challenging classes. Vincke said, "We're putting something in [Early Access] that's interesting to us as well and seeing what the community does with it." Those expecting a straight Barbarian class may still have to wait a while.

Here's everything we know about Baldur's Gate 3.
