Call of Duty: Modern Warfare removes two newest maps

Last week, Infinity War quietly added three new maps to Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare. This is because Infinity Ward has removed two of those new arenas from the game.

Don't worry, the fan-favorite "Killhouse" map from the original "Modern Warfare" in 2004 is still there. But while the map had its own 24/7 playlist, "Drainage" and "Al Raab Air Force Base" were only playable in custom games According to Eurogamer, Infinity Ward and Activision There has been no comment and the maps have disappeared.

Call Of Duty seems to be experiencing a rash of premature releases lately. Just this week, Warzone's long suspected nuclear Armageddon was launched prematurely after a dud fell in Verdansk; Warzone and Black Ops - Cold War's new R1 Shadowhunter crossbow also arrived ahead of schedule, and eventually a week later Cold War only.

More Warzone leaks also appeared this week, with Modern Warzone reporting that the new in-game bundle includes a skin for the unannounced operator Sparks and an unannounced Sykov pistol, though this listing was quickly pulled from the store.

It is currently unknown if "Drainage" and "Al Raab Airbase" will return to Modern Warfare in any official form; PC Gamer has reached out to Activision for comment.
