Cyberpunk slash and splinter Ghostrunner has been acquired by publisher 505 Games.

In a press release announcing the acquisition, 505 presented Ghostrunner's future roadmap. There will be more ways to feel badass with the addition of new game modes that challenge you to commit murder as quickly as possible.

Ghostrunner added a free hardcore mode late last year, remixing levels and changing enemies to make them tougher the second time around. This spring will see the arrival of Kill Run, a timed slash through Ghostrunner's levels, and a second, as-yet-unannounced mode will be available later this summer If you like running and slashing in Ghostrunner (and we did), optimize your parkour kills! There will be plenty of excuses to keep challenging yourself to optimize your parkour kills.

The game will also add a photo mode for shooting cyberpunk stunts, along with new cosmetic DLC and a steady stream of new content that will continue through the summer. An unannounced "Ultimate DLC" will also be available at the end of the year.
