Things are about to get weird on the Apex Legends butt-sliding battlegrounds, as five wild new War Games replace unranked queues at the end of the month.

Starting next Tuesday, the only way to play a regular, uncensored round of Apex Legends will be to jump into Ranked War Games. If you die in this mode, you will respawn a few seconds later in the sky and return with all your equipment and weapons intact.

Each mode lasts a couple of days and comes with its own twist. Ultra zones add loot and risky bubbles that replenish HP and shields. Auto Banner saves you the trouble of retrieving a fallen ally's banner, Kill Time reduces round time with each kill, and Armor Regen does exactly what it says it does.

War Games also has its own reward track and a handful of new cosmetics, including gorgeous, antique armor sets for Wraiths, Pathfinders, and Bloodhounds.War Games will take place next Tuesday, April 14 through April 27, and and by then we should know a little more about Apex Legends' yet-to-be-announced next season.
