Cross-Play in "Outriders" Fixed, but Inventory Wipes Remain

Cross-play for the loot shooter has been non-functional for more than a week because the code for the PC and console versions of "Outriders" was out of sync; according to Outriders' official Twitter account, this has now been fixed. It's not all good news, however. The bug that caused some players to lose their entire inventory after a crash continues after this week's patch.

The patch, which also nerfed the Trickster and Technomancer classes, was intended to significantly reduce the frequency of inventory wipes. However, as publisher Square Enix stated in a post-launch developer news update, "Since the recent patch, we have received an increasing number of reports regarding this issue." Fixing this bug is apparently "our top priority and will remain so until it is fixed."

Those who suffer an inventory wipe will have some of their loot restored in a "mass restoration event" scheduled for a definite date, but the status may vary and only the most valuable items can be restored: "Restoring an inventory full of blue gear is It is unlikely."

If you want to play with your console friends, here's how to enable cross-play in Outriders.
