Sorry, EA stated that they have not announced a new "Mirror's Edge" film.

With the weekend just around the corner, EA France caused a bit of a stir with a "Who knows this game?" The company caused a bit of a stir with a tweet that said, "I've never seen this game before. The accompanying image was heavily pixelated, but nonetheless immediately recognizable as a still from the most excellent parkour game, Mirror's Edge.

Naturally, this led to the hopeful observation that EA may have turned the keys to the new Mirror's Edge game promotion machine. After all, it has been five years since "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" and 13 years since the original. It is not hard to imagine a modern version of "Mirror's Edge" on the latest consoles.

But unfortunately, nothing like that seems to be in production at the moment, or at least nothing that would make people burn. Earlier today, EA France revealed that it is a bit of a tease.

"So, it's not a play, it's just a game," they tweeted." If one day we make fun of something, you will all figure it out soon enough, don't worry!"

Disappointing (though not as disappointing as Julian Gelaiti stating that he was working on a new "Splinter Cell" game, which Ubisoft awkwardly dismissed as a "joke"), but the good news is that "Face" is still hanging in there: from now until May 3, EA All Play members can get a free "Have Faith" weapon charm for "Apex Legends."
