This official MS Flight Simulator PC gives you a sense of pre-flight tension.

It seems that Xbox France is running a campaign to give away a PC modified to look like a section of an airplane turbine. The question is whether this system can actually run the notoriously overloaded Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The original post came from XboxFR on Twitter, coinciding with the announcement of the next major update to MS Flight Simulator World, which will overhaul France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. All you need to do to enter is follow and comment on the #MicrosoftFlightSimulator hashtag. Then wait and see if you are the lucky owner of this ridiculously extreme PC.

Jet engines aside, this PC is powered by a Gigabyte Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070. This processor is paired with a Core i7 11700K, an 11th generation Intel processor. As such, it should be able to handle the graphic intensity of MS Flight Simulator, although perhaps not at the maximum 4K setting. This game has a high demanding level.

All of this silicon is packed into the Z590 Aorus Elite AX motherboard, although the final design may differ somewhat since the images posted by XboxFR in connection with the contest are only 3D renderings. We expect it to look as sleek as it does.

I doubt it will be filled in RGB, but I expect at least a couple of red and green lights on either side and a flashing strobe light to make it look more authentic. Frankly, people are not going to see the lights. I mean, first of all, this is one heck of a jet engine, and second, it's almost twice the size of a standard ATX case. Where in the world are you going to put it?

Still, for aviation enthusiasts in the PC gaming hobby, this is a chance to connect a piece of aeronautical engineering to their home setup, albeit without the flight. Although the contest is in France, there appears to be no rules prohibiting entries from other countries.

You can decide where to install it later.
