'Cyberpunk 2077' Hotfix Prevents Cops from Teleporting Behind During Rooftop Crimes

Good news for Night City criminals. A cyberpunk 2077 hotfix released today should give players who commit crimes on rooftops less of a shrug.

"Fixes an issue where NCPD officers would spawn behind the player after the player commits a crime on the roof of a building," the patch notes read.

This is the second recent improvement to the police response situation in Cyberpunk 2077. Originally, when a player committed a crime, the cop would instantly teleport closer to the player, even if he or she was standing in an elevator at the time; the expensive 1.2 patch released at the end of March at least delayed the teleporting cop a bit more and made him or her spawn farther away, not right on your ass. made them spawn farther away.

But even after the 1.2 patch, players committing crimes on the roof of a building found that the cops would magically pop up in the world directly behind them. This hotfix addresses this nonsense.

While far from a complete solution to the teleporting cops, it remains to be seen if an actual police response system will be added to Cyberpunk 2077 in the future, i.e., where crimes are reported by NPCs and the police actually run or drive to the crime scene instead of teleporting We will have to keep watching to see if this happens. Expectations.

This hotfix also fixes a bug that stopped quest progression, NPC and vehicle spawning issues, and eliminates UI clutter during scanning. Here are the full patch notes:
