First expansion of "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" delayed for several weeks

In March, Ubisoft announced that "Wrath of the Druids," the first major expansion for "Assassin's Creed Valhalla," would be released on April 29. Today, however, Ubisoft has delayed the release by two weeks in order to "deliver a more refined experience."

"'Druid's Wrath' will launch on May 13," Ubisoft tweeted.

"We are working on an article to provide transparency and share insights into our development process. Thank you for your patience. Check back on our social channels for future news!"

In Wrath of the Druids, players will investigate the secrets of a mysterious ancient cult in Ireland, an island full of "occult forests," "haunted landscapes" and "regional kings to befriend." (This expansion is included in the two-part "Valhalla" Season Pass, which can also be purchased separately.

While details regarding the cause of the delay were not shared, preparations for the release of "Wrath of the Druids" were not entirely smooth: in March, Ubisoft announced that some of the seasonal "Ostara Festival" events that were causing the game to crash (specifically festival decorations added to Raventhorpe) had to be removed.
