Asus updated the X570 and B550 mobos to fix the AMD USB issue.

Asus, in conjunction with MSI, has released a BIOS update for its X570 and B550 motherboards designed to fix USB connectivity issues affecting AMD's latest Ryzen 5000 CPUs. Asus announced the update via tweet, but No direct link to the motherboard that received the update.

The best way to see if your motherboard has the update is to go to Asus' main support page and search for your model in the large search box at the top of the page. Search for your model in the big search box at the top of the page: "Update AMD AM4 AGESA V2 PI 1.2.0.2". [This is because motherboard manufacturers are trying to resolve issues that may arise when transitioning to support for the AGESA 1.2.0.2 update. This is the update that AMD sent to motherboard manufacturers last month to resolve intermittent USB connection issues.

We need to know the exact motherboard model before attempting the update, which requires either looking directly at the motherboard (not always easy in a packed case) or using a tool such as CPU-Z.

Alternatively, you can obtain motherboard information (called BaseBoard in Windows) from the Windows System Information Tool. The current BIOS version and motherboard make and model will be displayed just below the processor information details.
