Nvidia's RTX audio denoising integrated into OBS streaming software

Nvidia announced yesterday (via The Verge) that the Nvidia Broadcast app's noise reduction feature (formerly known as RTX Voice) is coming to OBS software as a native feature. This is good news for streamers and content creators who use the free software, as it completely eliminates the need to use the Nvidia Broadcast app as an intermediary.

The Nvidia Broadcast software offers a number of useful AI-powered features that can be turned on at the flick of a switch, such as tracking head movements with the Auto Frame feature and removing the background without green screen with the Virtual Background feature.

The app can be turned on by simply pressing the switch.

The app's noise reduction feature was initially available only on RTX 2060 GPUs and above, but has since become available on any GeForce graphics card. This feature provides the ability to reduce background noise from audio inputs or outputs, and while the feature is very effective, its use through the Broadcast app was limited.

This new native integration, deployed in the new beta version of OBS Studio 27 and supported by Nvidia's latest game-ready drivers, will streamline the process of setting up noise cancellation in OBS. Hopefully, it will allow users to access feature settings through OBS without having to go through the Nvidia Broadcast app, eliminating the hassle of streaming workflows.

One less app to control while streaming! [This news coincides with the announcement of Nvidia's Mortal Shell RTX update, a number of officially certified G-sync-enabled monitors, and new toys for developers.
