General
Ubisoft's online E3 event is set for June 12.

The season that begins with E and ends with 3 is just around the corner, and Ubisoft announced today that it will participate in a new online press conference, Ubisoft Forward. The event will kick off "as part of E3 2021" on June 12 at 12 p.m. PT (3 p.m. GMT) and will bring the latest news about Ubisoft games "from teams around the world."

Naturally, Ubisoft is keeping specifics under wraps so as not to spoil the big show, but we'll be hearing about "Far Cry 6," "Hyperscape," "Rainbow Six Siege," "For Honor," and Ubisoft's announcement earlier this year that it will resume It is reasonable to assume that we will get updates on ongoing games such as "The Division 2" and "Ghost Recon Breakpoint," which Ubisoft announced earlier this year would be resumed.

The biggest piece of potential news, however, would be a glimpse of Ubisoft's open-world game "Star Wars. Announced in January, shortly after Disney revived Lucasfilm Games and effectively confirmed that Electronic Arts' exclusive Star Wars game deal would not be renewed, the new game is being developed by Ubisoft's Massive studio, with Ubisoft's Massive Studio as creative Julian Gelaiti is on board as creative director. But aside from that, it would be a big hit to have some kind of trailer or teaser, even if it is just basic background, since it is anyone's guess. [Personally, I too would be happy to hear that there will be a new "Splinter Cell" movie, but I'm not holding my breath.

To no one's surprise, E3 2021 was confirmed earlier this month to take place June 12-15 as a fully online event. This year's major exhibitors include Nintendo, Microsoft, Take-Two, Capcom, Konami, Warner Bros. and Koch Media, the parent company of Deep Silver; the PC Gaming Show will also take place on June 13, and the E3 2021 Online Show will be held on June 14.
