Call of Duty: Warzone's New Surprise Pistol is Terrifying

In recent Call of Duty: Warzone, it has become customary for new weapons to be added without any notice from Activision. But unlike the relatively harmless Shadowhunter crossbow, today's new Sykov pistol is very capable of killing.

By default, the Sykov looks and feels like Warzone's other pistols, but it has several attachments that can make it an overly powerful beast. At higher levels, the Sykov can be set to full auto and equipped with an 80-round drum magazine, doubling the firepower of the two-fisted pistol. By my count, this means that it can fire 160 rounds at a very high rate of fire without reloading.

As you can see in the clip from BennyCentral below, Sykov quickly finishes off bots set up with about the same health as a Warzone player. His impressive kill time to kill at close range is impressive.

Despite initial reports from players struggling to unlock and level up Sykov, today's release was apparently intentional; Raven tweeted today that "as intended" this gun progression can now be tracked, so this must be real.

Warzone players may recognize the Akimbo pistol strategy from Diamatti Pistol, which was all the rage earlier this year. Until Activision finally nerfed the accuracy of the hipfire, the Rapidfire pistol was equally destructive at close range, and a pair of Shikov pistols with 80-round drum magazines and seemingly problematic hit rates could prove even better than the Diamatti in its heyday.

Call of Duty Youtuber TheXclusiveAce has already released initial data on Sykov's status. Ace is one of the most calm and analytical voices in the CoD community, and even he is concerned that the pistol will be overpowered once fully unleashed. 'At this point, I'm concerned. So am I.'
